We evaluate site conditions within FEMA floodplains and floodways to determine project viability and identify the most practical path forward. Services include review of flood mapping, feasibility studies, and evaluation of stream crossings, including culvert and bridge sizing. We identify potential permitting requirements such as no-rise certification or CLOMR/LOMR and provide clear guidance early in the process to reduce risk, control costs, and avoid delays. We provide hydraulic and scour analyses to support bridge design, replacement, and realignment projects in accordance with DOT and FHWA guidelines. Services include HEC-RAS modeling of existing and proposed conditions, evaluation of bridge openings and roadway overtopping, and detailed scour analysis to inform design and permitting. We work closely with design teams to optimize bridge sizing and alignment while maintaining hydraulic performance and regulatory compliance.
